“The Nature Calendar” is an interactive mobile application & social media platform for individuals and educational institutions that invokes and inspires awareness and connection to natural events throughout the calendar year. In the spring you’ll be notified about the first buds, shoots and flowers, and emergence and arrival of animals, and receive real world incentives for correctly identifying and updating evidence of their presence in your area. As the year progresses you’ll receive prompts to help you find new species, while learning about their indigenous and scientific significance, as well as accompanying harvesting techniques, recipes, and drying, canning and freezing techniques for edible and medicinal plants, fruits and mushrooms.”
